A crisis is defined by a level of information where you don’t know anymore than the public does, when you have a material change from the norm, and it has a material potential impact on your business.
Always acknowledge there is a crisis. Give users a place where they can vent.
Make sure employees are informed.
Every employee is in marketing and customer service no matter what their job is.
Content is fire. Social media is gasoline.
You’re better off if you promote information rather than promoting the company.
